Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 September 2026 · These Terms govern use of misterpg.com and the Mister PG Android app.
By creating an account or using Mister PG, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Mister PG is an online marketplace and operations tool for paying-guest (PG) accommodation, initially focused on Delhi. We help students discover listings with live bed availability, and help landlords and agents manage inventory, leads, visits, and bookings.
Mister PG is a technology platform. Unless we expressly say otherwise in writing, we are not the landlord, property manager, or party to the stay agreement between a resident and a PG operator.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate information and keep your phone/email access secure
- One person or business should control each account; do not share OTP codes
- Roles include student/tenant, landlord, agent, admin, and staff
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the platform, post false listings, harass others, or attempt fraud
3. Listings and content
Landlords and agents are responsible for the accuracy of rents, deposits, photos, rules, location, and bed status. You must only list properties you are authorised to offer.
You grant Mister PG a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute the content you upload (including photos and listing text) for operating and promoting the service.
You must not upload unlawful, infringing, or misleading content, or documents that are not yours to share.
4. Visits, bookings, and stays
- Visit slots and bed requests are requests until the PG confirms or accepts them
- A confirmed visit or accepted booking does not by itself create a tenancy
- Stay rules (curfew, visitors, deposit handling, notice periods) are primarily between resident and PG
- Agreements generated on Mister PG are platform records to support the stay; they are not a substitute for any stamped/registered instrument required by law unless we explicitly provide that product
5. Payments
When payments are enabled, amounts such as a booking token (for example ₹1,000) or first-month rent may be collected through Razorpay or another payment partner.
- Prices and what a payment covers are shown before you pay
- Payment partners process UPI, cards, or net banking; their terms also apply
- Refunds, if any, follow the policy shown at checkout or communicated for that booking (for example if a PG cancels after a token payment)
- Chargebacks or payment disputes may lead to account review
Until Razorpay (or another processor) is enabled in production, any on-site “confirm payment” flow may be a demonstration only and does not move money.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, spam, or overload the service
- Bypass security, probe other accounts, or misuse staff tools
- Use Mister PG to discriminate unlawfully or to harass users
- Misrepresent availability, ownership, or identity documents
- Use the service for anything illegal under Indian law
7. Third-party services
Mister PG may integrate Razorpay, OpenAI, Firebase, WhatsApp/WAPI, email/SMTP, Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, maps, and similar providers. Their availability and terms can affect parts of the product. We are not responsible for outages or decisions made solely by those providers.
8. Android app
The Android app may load the live Mister PG service inside an application shell. App updates, store policies, and device permissions (network, notifications, file access for uploads) can affect features. Sideloaded APKs not from Google Play are installed at your own risk following your device prompts.
9. Disclaimers
Listings, commute estimates, and availability change quickly. We aim for useful, current information but do not guarantee that every bed, photo, price, or review is complete or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mister PG is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mister PG and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for disputes arising between residents and PG operators (including deposits, notice, damage, or personal safety), except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
If we are found liable in connection with the service, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) fees you paid to Mister PG for the specific paid feature giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim, or (b) ₹5,000.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Mister PG against claims arising from your listings, content, misuse of the service, or violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Mister PG at any time. We may suspend or close accounts, remove listings, or restrict features to protect users or the platform. Provisions that should survive (including payments already processed, liability limits, and indemnity) continue after termination.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we publish revisions.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
